The story of the game brings us to the world of Ashan, a place that is menaced by the terrible prophecy of the "Dark Messiah", who will be sent to destroy all good and place the world of Ashan in eternal darkness. You, a young adventurer, have been given the task of preventing this horrible catastrophe.

In Dark Messiah of Might and Magic you will choose whether to be a valient warrior, a powerful magician or a silent assassin. Each one has their own abilities and, as time passes and you gain more experience, you acquire new spells, manoeuvers or tricks depending on the class that you have chosen.

Finding yourself in immense dungeons, you will confront all kinds of fantasy enemies - orcs, goblins and cyclops are just some of the foes that you will find in your path. Use swords, arrows or powerful spells to do away with them and adquire the treasure that they guard.
